Portrait of Gwen Stefani referenced from a photo shoot in Glamour Magazine (April 2005 issue). I loved the photograph and thought it would be a bit of a challenge. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, not 100%, but it did take about 14 hours in total! The saddest thing about this pic is that it is an A3 piece and my scanner is only A4 so lots of details are missing.. like most of her jacket with the gothic writing on, hat, gloves etc.. Much better seen in person but I think the way this is framed I fit most of the details on. ^^;

Technical Info: Done in B, 2B, 4B and 6B pencils.

Oh, this is great, I love Gwen and I love your drawing! I love the detail you put on the clothes and how you succeed to get such great contrast in the picture. Lovely pencil work! Her clothes are awesome and you draw them awesome! Don't know what to say other than it's great =)

The detail in her clothing is particularly impressive. I'd probably run out of patience for that :) It's good you stuck with it since they're part of her signature look.

oh i love gwen, she's my fav and i love this. well done

'like most of her jacket with the gothic writing on, hat, gloves etc.. Much better seen in person but I think the way this is framed I fit most of the details on'.

you could scan in those details and put them into your scrap area so that i can see!!! -just different sections which arn't shown here, well that's what i thought :)

seems a shame, to not be able to show it all, especially since the rest is so good.

Good work, :hug:

Very impressive Claire! The face looks particularly realistic as are the contrasts in colour, and it's a very good likeness.

It's nice to see how your work has developed since we were at school. I remember the rats you drew in my 10th birthday card! They were well good - and Haminu!

Would be nice to see you again and catch up. Let me know if you fancy it!

Thank you Abi!
My god.. :giggle: ..I had forgotten about those little cartoons I used to doodle all over people's greetings cards! Would be interesting to meet up again after all this time, we've both changed so much..
I was looking through your gallery the other day and I remembered why I always envied your artistic talent :)
